Michele Granberg, MA, is a long-time meditator (over 27 years) who has been teaching meditation and other related programs for over 17 years.  She has completed a professional level Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program under the direction of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, (shown in photo) a leader in the field of applied meditation and mindfulness techniques.

What is Meditation?

Meditation is a natural and readily accessible process; anyone with desire, patience and commitment can meditate.  It is the blending of several simple techniques with an attempt to focus attention in a non-judgmental way and draw the mind away from constant, ruminating thoughts.

Meditation is not mysterious.  In fact, we slip into "meditative states," throughout the day.  It is that open and heightened state where we experience a "timeless awareness." Meditation can be a relaxing experience, a deeply moving experience or a spiritual experience....whatever you choose it to be.

How about Mindfulness Meditation?
Mindfulness is the art and practice of paying attention to the ever-unfolding present moment.  Mindfulness as a meditative practice stems from traditional Buddhist practices - it is at the heart of Buddhism in all its forms.  Yet its essence is universal, and one does not have to follow Buddhism to discover value in this timeless practice.

Working privately with Michele: Learn how to meditate one-on-one
A one on one session with Michele provides you with just the right amount of guidance and inspiration to start you on your journey.  Allow Michele to teach you simple, practical and meaningful meditation techniques that are tailored to suit your individual needs.  In a private and serene environment, she will share various relaxation, breathing, meditation, and visualization techniques.  You will leave ready to develop and maintain a meditation/relaxation practice that you will thoroughly enjoy.

This instructional and experiential group is an opportunity to meditate in an information small group setting.  Michele leads you through guided and silent meditation practice while weaving in healing imagery and positive messages.  No experience required.
